I always wanted a career where people could not tell if I was working or playing. I realized this year that acting was that career for me. When I am acting, I feel full of passion and more myself, even though I am portraying and taking on characteristics of other people. It was back in August that I gave my notice to my 9-5 sales job, and set up a schedule so that I would work part-time until the end of the quarter, October 28th. A friend of mine suggested Jonna as an acting coach because her daughter had spent her whole acting career training with Jonna, and had booked notable parts because of her coaching. I met with Jonna in August and knew she would be an integral asset to my growth as an actress. She was booked for in person coaching sessions until the spring, but since I was ready to start training now, we worked out weekly Skype sessions that have been incredible! I can hardly tell that we’re not meeting in person because of how present and fun our meetings are! 
During my notice, I used the two months to train with Jonna and get ready to hit the ground running come November. Now, two months into my acting career and I have booked a lead in a music video for a VH1 star, impressed a producer and director so much as background that they created a recurring character for me with lines on their web series, booked a featured role in a movie, have had several call backs that are still possibilities, been on several sets making great connections and attended many networking events. I want to THANK YOU for not only teaching Genesis about the “Power of the Arts”, but also PROFESSIONALISM on set. As a result of this she was the only one that received more lines because one of the cast members dropped out (and she memorized that cast member lines from previous rehearsals!) Although her surroundings are not professional, she was noticed by the Director & Writer.
